My way of working

I am working as a professional Tour Manager since 2000. 
And this is my work attitude:

The success of a tour and one-off shows depends to a large extent on the quality of the tour manager.

An experienced tour manager is able to foresee problems already during the planning phase, making the necessary changes and briefing those involved. 

Main focus while advancing the tour should be on: 
- detailed communication with venues, technicians, promoters, caterers, press etc.
- detailed planning of logistics (rental cars, vans, nightliners, flights, hotels, local transport)
- reliable calculation of expenses and invoicing of the tour

In this way unpleasant surprises on site can be avoided in advance.

During the tour, the tour manager continues to act as a liason between the artist, crew, artist management, record company, promoters and press.

It is important to coordinate all these parties in an optimal way, so that the interests of everyone can be taken into account, in line with the needs of the artist and the production requirements.

Therefore it is necessary to have an overview of all details at any given time. Good communication skills, peripheral vision, empathy, knowledge of human nature and a lot of experience make it possible to solve many issues before they become problems.
